Lumin-Water

Lumin-Water is a rare liquid substance found primarily in the underground cavern networks of Sector 4. It appears as a viscous, glowing blue fluid. The glow is the result of Cherenkov radiation produced by the decay of dissolved Chronosite particles within the water.

Because of its Chronosite content, Lumin-Water is heavier than standard water and extremely toxic if ingested. However, in small, refined doses, it is used as a coolant for Flux-Capacitive Mining lasers. It absorbs heat and displaces it through time, meaning the heat dissipates days after the actual operation.

Explorers in Sector 4 have reported seeing "ghosts" reflected in pools of Lumin-Water. Science suggests this is a refractive effect of the Thorne-Yancy Paradox, showing reflections from the past or future rather than the present.

The Obsidian Council has banned the export of Lumin-Water, classifying it as a Class-A hazardous material.
